Garden Carrot Easter Cupcakes

    These fun garden carrot Easter cupcakes from Wilton are fun for everyone – but especially kids. When you cut them in half to see the carrot “growing” in the cupcake, kids are so delighted!


    What you will need to make the Garden Carrot Easter Cupcake:

    • baked and cooled chocolate cupcakes
    • chocolate buttercream icing
    • Oreo cookie crumbs
    • orange buttercream icing with decorators tip 2A
    • green buttercream icing with decorators tip 352
    • paring knife

    Directions

    1. Frost your cupcake with the chocolate buttercream icing.
    2. Sprinkle with Oreo cookie crumbs. (You may have to lightly press them into the icing.)
    3. Chill for 15 minutes.
    4. Using a paring knife, cut a circle in the center of the cupcake top. As you cut, angle the knife inwards so you cut out that pointed carrot shape.
    5. Fill in the hole you created with the orange buttercream icing and pipe it higher than the chocolate buttercream so it looks like the carrot top.
    6. With your green buttercream icing, pipe 3 or 4 leaves on the carrot top. (You may want to practice on waxed paper until you perfect the leaf shape.)
