Man Versus Machine: Can a Robot Beat a Professional Bowler?

I think the purpose of this competition was to showcase just how much better a computerized machine – or robot – is than a human.
EARL, the Enhanced Automated Robotic Launcher, has met his match in PGA bowler Chris Barnes. Barnes beat EARL with a score of 259 to 209. Now that’s quite a margin in my books!
Of course, in the end they blame it on human error because it is a human who programs the robot. At least there will be a job for pro bowlers in the future – it will take someone who knows how to bowl to program the amazing machine!
